The goals were scored by Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling

Manchester City set a new scoring record against Newcastle with a convincing 5-1 win in the Premier League on Sunday. Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling each scored a brace while Leroy Sane added another goal to the scoresheet. Dieumerci Mbokani netted one for Newcastle but it was too little, too late as City emerged with all three points.

Despite being unbeaten in their previous five games, Manchester City were not at their best against Newcastle as they failed to create many clear-cut chances. However, they eventually found the back of the net through Aguero, Jesus and Sterling. Newcastle struggled to create any meaningful chances against City’s defence and midfield, who mostly closed down the space in front of their own net.
