Recently, Liverpool played their match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. While the match was ultimately a loss for Liverpool, one of the most interesting things to come out of it was the comments made by the Liverpool coach regarding preferring to play at the Etihad Stadium. In particular, he cited the atmosphere as one of the reasons that he prefers to play there.
While this may not seem like a big deal, it is worth noting because it is one example of how different stadiums can affect a team’s performance. It will be interesting to see if other teams start to copy Liverpool’s strategy in order to increase their chances of winning games.
