“He’s 19 years old, he’s got all the attributes,” Gerrard told LFCTV. “He’s quick, he’s strong, he can hold the ball up, he can score goals. Obviously with Monaco being as successful as they are – they’ve been pretty consistent over the last few years – it’s only going to help him progress even further.”

Liverpool have been one of the most consistent teams in Europe this season and are currently second in the table behind Manchester City. They will be looking to challenge for honours in next year’s Champions League and Gerrard believes that Mbappe could be a crucial part of their success.
