The German boss went on to say that training is a privilege and should be enjoyed by all players, no matter their fitness level. “We have a lot of young players and it’s important for them that they enjoy football,” he added.
“If somebody wants to rest with a good excuse, then okay – but if somebody doesn’t want to do it then I don’t think it’s right [for us] to force them.”

Klopp’s comments come after reports emerged earlier this week that Liverpool duo Philippe Coutinho and Mo Salah are refusing to train with the first-team squad due to lack of match fitness. The Egypt international has only played a handful of games since joining the Reds from Chelsea in January, while Coutinho has been sidelined with a knee injury.
