Smartphones with 108MP cameras will soon be available.
Samsung has just unveiled the first 108MP ISOCELL sensor for the smartphone industry. Just last week, Xiaomi revealed that its next phone will sport a 108MP camera system. The Pocophone F1’s 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, which Samsung just unveiled, is touted to incorporate cutting-edge DSLR camera sensor technology and was created in partnership with Xiaomi.
“In order to create the ISOCELL Bright HMX, Xiaomi, and Samsung collaborated closely from the design to production stages, creating a ground-breaking 108MP image sensor technology. We are thrilled to have access to the superior image quality seen only in a few high-end DSLR cameras on smartphones,” said Lin Bin, Xiaomi’s co-founder and president.
